The Benefits of Honey
There are numerous claims made about the benefits of honey, wax and propolis based skin/hair care products. There is no scientific research that we are aware of.
The good thing is that simple use of honey/wax as a medical remedy or skin care will have no side effects. For example Honey for hay fever or a sore throat will do no harm.
We offer simple packs of wax and instructions for making lip balm and body lotion. We are not able to post these but they are on sale at Revel pharmacy CV23 0LU and fetes.
The following books are of interest and you must make your own mind up:

Honey has been around for thousands of years and has been found in Pharaohs tombs.
It has been said to have all sorts of medical benefits over the years. Recently the New Zealanders have shown that manuka honey has health benefits. There has been no research/comparisons with UK local honey.
There is no medical research available about honey except its use in dressings. It would be wrong to repeat scientifically unproven claims. However, one cannot help but wonder about the constant use of honey though the ages.
Even the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) and Public Health England suggest honey is beneficial for coughs, colds and sore throats.
